Freedman Newman once said “Don’t let struggle become your identity”.
A man was walking around a river where people came to fish regularly. This wasn't the first time he had been to that particular river, but on this particular day something happened. While walking around the river as usual, he noticed that one man that was fishing had a rod in his hand with which he measured any fish he caught before putting them in his basket or throwing them back into the river. Out of curiosity, he walked up to the man and asked “Sir, what is the reason behind your action, why catch a fish and throw it back into the river”? He replied, “the rod in my hand is the size of my frying pan which I measured with this rod before leaving home, so what I do is simple... Any fish I catch that is longer than the rod will not fit into my frying pan so I throw it back into the river. However, I keep any fish which fits within the length of the rod because it will fit into my frying pan.” A lot of people do what this fisher man do with fishes every day, although not with fishes but with things more valuable than fishes. In life we all have our own frying pan that we use to fry our own fish, and that frying pan here is a metaphor for your vision. Some people have big visions, others small visions. So what happens is that when people who have a small vision meet someone with a bigger vision, they push them away, just as the man did to big fishes. When people with small vision encounter situations where they should dream big and take big risks, they walk away. Over time because of the small vision they have, they neglect useful relationships, business opportunities, chances for growth, just to live comfortably within the confines of their small vision. And they do this most times subconsciously. This is how most people end up small when they where destined to end up great. If your vision is too small and you encounter big opportunities, get a bigger vision than limit your own greatness.
Dream big, you were designed to be big.
Have a great week ahead.❤️
